Meet Your Supercars Heroes at an Exclusive Pit Lane Walk

Supercars fans rejoice! Five hundred of you will get the chance to personally meet your Supercars heroes at an exclusive Pit Lane Walk this Sunday as part of the CoreStaff Darwin SuperSprint event.

The Pit Lane Walk will involve drivers standing in front of their garages and cars to chat to fans, all while maintaining physical distancing. You might not be able to shake hands, but you can ask questions, snap a selfie with your hero in the background, and see the cars up close.

To be in with a chance to take part in this exclusive event, simply buy a ticket for this weekend’s racing, then visit the www.darwinsupercars.com.au website to enter your details in the draw before 5pm on Friday. If you’ve already got your ticket, head on over to the website now to enter.

Northern Territory Major Events Company CEO Tim Watsford said the Darwin Supercars doubleheader got off to a flying start, with Jamie Whincup walking off with the elusive Triple Crown this year.

Now we are gearing up for another weekend full of Supercars action, including the chance for fans to meet their Supercars heroes.

The Pit Lane Walk will be an incredible opportunity, as will the Q&A session some drivers will take part in on Thursday. We ask fans to please respect physical distancing measures at both these events.

We are delighted to involve more locals in the racing too. Last weekend the drifters put on a great show, and this weekend they will be joined by the North Australian Motorsports Club, so there will be even more action on the track.

Another opportunity to meet the drivers will take place this Thursday evening at The Precinct, Darwin Waterfront, when a selection of drivers will form a panel to answer questions from fans from 6pm to 7pm, again while maintaining physical distancing. Supercars merchandise will also be available for purchase.

In another exciting development, the North Australian Motorsports Club will race this weekend as a support category. Qualifying sessions and three races will take place over the two days. Three categories will be combined – Improved Production NT, Commodore Cup NT and HQ Racing Australia. The Top End Drift Association will also return to perform a drifting demonstration, as they did during the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown.

Tickets for the CoreStaff Darwin SuperSprint are on sale now from just $35. Visit www.darwinsupercars.com.au for a fun family day out – Bluey and Bingo are back! Children aged 13 and under go free.
